Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before creating an account or using Buildlings. By creating an account — including by checking the consent box at registration — you agree to be bound by these terms on behalf of yourself and your family. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect and how we protect it. It is incorporated into and forms part of these terms.
1. Who can use Buildlings
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Buildlings is a family gaming service designed for children aged 6–12, played under parental supervision and control. The parent or legal guardian who creates the account ("Account Holder") is solely responsible for their account and for supervising their children's use of the service.
By creating an account you confirm that:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You have the legal authority to agree to these terms on behalf of your family.
- All information you provide is truthful and accurate.
2. Parent accounts & hero profiles
One parent account may contain up to the number of hero profiles (child profiles) allowed by your subscription tier (1 on Demo, 4 on Family/Plus). Hero profiles store only a display name (not a real name) and game save data.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password secure and not sharing your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Supervising your children's gameplay session.
Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
Buildlings is a closed kid-safe environment. You agree not to:
- Attempt to identify, contact, or solicit other players outside the game.
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other players.
- Exploit bugs, use cheats, or interfere with the game's servers or other players' sessions.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the game or its backend.
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the service.
- Resell access to your account or subscription.
- Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
4. Kid safety design
Buildlings is engineered to be safe for young children:
- No open chat — there is no free-text chat visible to other players.
- Friend-code shards — multiplayer sessions require a private invite code. Children cannot join strangers' sessions.
- No profile photos or real names — hero identities are display names only.
- No advertising — we do not show ads within the game.
- No loot boxes — cosmetic items are sold directly at fixed prices with no randomised mechanics.
5. Subscriptions & billing
Free Demo tier
A free Demo account is available with limited features (1 hero, local saves only). No payment information is required for a Demo account.
Paid subscriptions
Paid subscriptions (Family, Plus) are billed monthly or annually as stated at checkout. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.
- Payment processor: All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never store your card number. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms.
- Price changes: We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before your next renewal.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from the Subscription tab in your account. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
- Refunds: We offer a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment and have not used the service. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. Contact [email protected].
Cosmetics & virtual items
Cosmetic items (skins, hats, accessories) purchased individually are non-refundable once applied to a hero profile, except where required by law. Virtual items have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
6. Intellectual property
All game code, artwork, characters, sound, and branding are the exclusive property of AliceSolution Inc. and protected by copyright law. "Buildlings" and the Buildling character are our trademarks.
Your brick creations (the worlds you build) remain your creative work. By saving them to cloud sync, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and transmit them as necessary to operate the service.
Buildlings is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or derived from LEGO®, Minecraft®, Roblox®, or any other third-party brand.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free or that game saves will never be lost.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AliceSolution Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability to you for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time; all personal data is erased within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account without notice for violation of these terms, or with 30 days' notice if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service, we will issue pro-rated refunds for unused prepaid subscription time.
10. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
If you are an EU consumer, the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
